What is Vaping and is it Safe?
Get your head out of the clouds because there are things you need to know about vaping!
What is vaping?
Well, if you didn’t hear it by now that would be surprising because it actually is an activity that you see a lot around. The alternative to smoking cigarettes.
Research suggests around 7 out of 10 smokers want to stop smoking especially when they become parents. We know that smoking is not only unhealthy but is no longer cool. Smoking in public places is banned in most countries – nobody wants to breathe in cigarette smoke fumes at enclosed public places and workplaces. It is amazing how normal it feels to step into most public places and come out without weeks of staleness from the passive smell on your jackets. People who are desperate to quit now say they quit smoking by moving over to vaping.
But check out some interesting facts about vaping.
E-cigarettes use nicotine which is extracted from tobacco, and this is heated up,
together with flavourings and other chemicals. This creates a water vapour so you can inhale it. Research suggests e-cigarettes contain fewer chemicals in them than traditional cigarettes. The fact remains, nicotine still remains the primary agent in cigarettes and e-cigarettes. Yes, E-cigarettes don’t burn tobacco; they just have cartridges which are filled with nicotine and other chemicals. The liquid chemicals turn into a vapour or steam that the smoker inhales. Therefore e-cigarette smoking is still highly addictive; it still causes the desire to smoke and still causes you to suffer from withdrawal symptoms even if you ignore the craving.
